Operation
The principle function of a pulsation dampener is to damp out the pulse generated on the delivery stroke by pneumatically operated bellow and diaphragm pumps. When the pump is used in conjunction with a filter (the pulse from the Furon A2 pump is much lower than that generated by an equivalent diaphragm pump) the pulse on the delivery stroke can cause particles trapped in the filter membrane to be forced through the filter, contaminating the fluid.
